Get Ready for the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon
Meet the LA Road Runners Team
At the heart of LA Road Runners is a group of people who are dedicated to the community we train.
Our coaches and pace leaders bring years of experience training for and participating in the Los Angeles Marathon, along with a genuine passion for helping others reach their goals. They lead workouts, answer questions, share their experience, and keep people motivated through the ups and downs of marathon training.

Pace Leaders
Nearly 100 dedicated volunteers give their weekends to lead LARR training groups, helping runners, walkers, and run/walkers chase marathon finish goals from 3 to 7 hours. And when race day arrives, they’re there to keep the entire field on pace at the Rose Bowl Half Marathon and ASICS Los Angeles Marathon.
Pace groups at LARR workouts typically train at "easy pace" which is about one minute or more slower than race pace. When you arrive at training, our pacers will be holding red signs that show their goal race pace and their easy pace. Find the group that best suits your current fitness level. The roster below lists the pace groups in each location, the pace leaders, and their paces.
