Emma was the top fundraiser for Team TMF in 2023. Emma had been considering running a marathon for some time but found it intimidating. When she learned that the Marathon’s race date coincided with the anniversary of her cousin Jon’s death from a traumatic brain injury, she felt Jon’s encouragement to do it.  Also learning that The McCourt Foundation focuses on neurology research, Emma decided to combine her passion with purpose and run. For Emma, running has a way of quieting things so she can focus on what’s important to her. She always thinks of Jon when she runs.
