When is the Tour de South Shore?

Save the date for September 21, 2024.

What distances do you have? 
  • 25- and 50-mile bike
  • 5K run/walk
What are the courses?

What time does the event start? 
  • 50-Mile Bike: 7:30am
  • 25-Mile Bike: 8:30am
  • 5K Run/Walk: 9:30am

There are none

At Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA

What is the age limit to participate?

Any ages are welcome! Babies/young kids in strollers are encouraged to start toward the back. Bike participants under 16 will need to ride with a participating adult.

Can my family/friends come to the start line? Finish line? Cheer on course?

Yes, spectators are always welcome

Do you have race hospitality for purchase?

No, there is no hospitality for purchase. 

Where can I see my race results?

This event is not a race and we won’t be posting results.

Where can I find information on parking and transportation?

Free parking will be available in Wompatuck State Park. Parking attendants will be on-site to assist with parking. Click here to learn more.

Is there a finish festival?

Yes! The Post Race Celebration at the Tour de South Shore is one not to be missed! The Finish Festival includes FREE food, two beer tickets for all participants 21+, an awards ceremony, music, and more.

Do you have aid stations on course?  

Bike Ride-Water will be available to race participants at Egypt Beach and near the Start/Finish at Wompatuck State Park, but please make sure to bring your own water with you on the ride. 5K - Water will be available on course.

What are your registration options? 

You can register to participate in the 25- or 50-mile bike ride, or the 5k

When will registration close? 

Registration will be open through race morning or at sellout, whichever comes first.

I registered but cannot attend, can I get a refund, deferral, or transfer my registration?

No, we do not offer refunds, deferrals, or transfer of registrations.

BIB PICK UP

When is bib pick up? 

Bib pick up will be the morning of the event starting at 7am.

Where is bib pick up? 

Visitor’s Center at Wompatuck State Park in Hingham, MA

What if I did not meet my fundraising minimum?

Your credit card will be charged for the difference if the fundraising minimum has not been met two weeks after the event date.

Can someone else pick up my bib for me? 

No, all participants must pick up their own bibs.

Will you mail me my bib? 

No, we do not mail bibs. 

When will I receive my participant t-shirt?

What is The McCourt Foundation’s mission?

The McCourt Foundation’s mission is striving to cure neurological diseases while empowering communities to build a healthier world.

What does the fundraising go toward?

Funds raised support The McCourt Foundation’s mission and fund research into treatments and cures for neurological diseases such as Alzheimer’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, ALS, and Parkinson’s Disease at our partner hospitals Massachusetts General Hospital, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, and Cedars-Sinai Hospital.

What is the fundraising requirement per participant? 

Each bike participant is required to raise $200 and each 5K participant is required to raise $100.

Do kids have to fundraise, too? 

Kids are encouraged to fundraise but not required to, as long as they are participating alongside an adult who is fundraising.
