Event
March 7, 2026.
The 2026 Academy Awards and the 2026 ASICS Los Angeles Marathon were initially scheduled for the same date, March 15, 2026. A resolution has been reached, and the Oscars will remain on March 15, and the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon weekend will move to the weekend of March 6 – 8, 2026. The 2026 LA 5K has a new official race date: Saturday, March 7, 2026.
Participants registered before May 8 will received an email on May 8 with options to keep your registration, defer to 2027, or request a full refund. All registrations after May 8 are subject to our standard registration policy.
- 5K (3.1 miles)
- Kids Run (1/2km)
- It is a 3.1 mile course that starts at Dodger Stadium, goes through Elysian Park and finishes at Dodger Stadium. The course map can be found here.
The LA 5K starts at 8:00am.

No, there is no Gear Check.
Yes! Friends and family are encouraged to come out and watch and cheer you on! The LA 5K starts and finishes at Dodger Stadium and your friends/family can watch you start and see you finish.
We do not offer corrals for the LA 5K. The start line is self-seeding and runners should line up according to pace.

Yes, we have Age Group Awards for the top three women and men in the following categories: Age Group participants will compete in the following male and female age divisions: 15 & under (SRLA only), 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over

All ages are welcome. Participants under the age of 18 must have a parent or legal guardian present to pick up the participant’s race bib and sign the Event waiver.
No, we do not offer refunds, deferrals, or transfer of registrations.
Yes. We will offer a discount through GovX. At this time the discount is not available. At this time, the price paid will be cheapest than any discount will offer. You can register now for the best price or wait until a discount through GovX becomes available. Please check back for the discount.

BIB PICK UP
Bib pick up is Friday, March 6 (10am – 7pm) and Saturday, March 7 (race morning) starting at 6:30am
At Dodger Stadium
Bib numbers will be assigned dynamically when you check it. We do not pre-set bib numbers.
Bib pick up will be available on race day starting at 6:30 am.
No, all participants must pick up their own bibs.
No, we do not mail bibs.
At bib pick up at the Expo or race morning.
COURSE
Yes, we will have an aid station with water at the half way point of the race
Yes. There will be portable restrooms located at the aid station.
No, there will not be pacers.

TEAM TMF
TMF stands for “The McCourt Foundation.” Team TMF is The McCourt Foundation’s charity team – by running with us, you commit to raising money to support our mission of striving to cure neurological diseases while empowering communities to build a healthier world.
No, signing up for Team TMF means you are fundraising for The McCourt Foundation. If you would like to fundraise for another charity, you should reach out to them directly for your registration link. A list of our charity partners can be found here.
- Fundraising commitments vary by event. The ASICS LA Marathon, Charity Half Marathon, and Rose Bowl Half Marathon have a fundraising commitment of $675. The Rose Bowl 5K and Santa Monica Classic 5K & 10K have a $350 fundraising commitment. The LA 5K has a $175 fundraising commitment.
- LA 5K: In order to join Team TMF for the LA 5K, you must commit to fundraising $175 by March 2, 2026.
No – your entry is included with your fundraising commitment as long as your commitment is met by the deadline.
Team perks vary per event. Some of the perks include a team shirt along with the event shirt and medal, your name on your bib, VIP hospitality, and access to our exciting incentive program.

CHARITY PARTNER PROGRAM
The LA Marathon Charity Partner Program is an opportunity for organizations to utilize the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon, Charity Half Marathon and LA 5K as a platform to create awareness about their mission and raise funds for their organization.
You can view the full list of our official 2026 Charity Partners HERE! Use the filters to browse by category and find an organization that’s the right fit for you. Once you’ve found one, simply apply to run with them directly through the provided link.
Fundraising commitments will vary by team. Please reach out to the team you are interested in directly for more information.
To be considered for the Charity Program, all organizations must:
- Be a 501c3 in operation for a minimum of 1 year
- Commit to prepaying the minimum number of entries
- Have a staff member as the point of contact
- Manage registration and fundraising through the Haku platform
- Commit to reaching the required fundraising minimum

CHALLENGE MEDALS
Challenge Medals are additional medals earned for participating in specific combinations of races in specific orders.

You will pick up the Conquer LA challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon.
You will pick up your Triple 5K Tour of LA challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the LA 5K.
You will pick up the LA Double Play challenge medal in the secure zone after you finish the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon.
Be sure to register with the same name, email address, and birth date for all medals.
- Yes with some important things to call out.
- You cannot complete both the Santa Monica Classic 5K and 10K at the race. You will need to buy both bibs and only participate in the 10K distance. You will then complete the 5K at your own time. It is NOT virtual participation and we will NOT mail you your finisher medal. You will not receive a finisher time for the Santa Monica Classic 5K
- You cannot complete both the Rose Bowl 5K and Half Marathon at the race. You will need to buy both bibs and only participate in the Half Marathon distance. You will then complete the 5K at your own time. It is NOT virtual participation and we will not mail you your finisher medal. You will need to pick up your bib at bib pick up and pick up your finisher medal at the race.

No skates or bikes are allowed on the course.
Strollers are allowed in the LA 5K but we ask you start in the back of the pack.
Dogs are not allowed in the LA 5K. Dogs are allowed as spectators but not encouraged.
While costumes are allowed uniforms, costumes or outfits covering the face, or any non-formfitting bulky outfit extending beyond the perimeter of the body, are not permitted.
