If I already deferred my registration, can I un-defer?

Yes, you can un-defer. Please email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org with your full register name and email letting them know you would like to un-defer your registration.

I’m already registered but cannot participate on the new date. What are my options?

If you are unable to participate on the new date, you can defer your registration for the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon, 2023 Los Angeles Marathon, 2024 Los Angeles Marathon. There will be no refunds available.

How do I defer my registration and when is the deadline?

Runners who wish to defer their registration can do so by completing the form by July 31st, 2021 at 11:59 PST.


Are you able to complete the event virtually if you choose to?

All events, the Rose Bowl 5K, the Rose Bowl Half Marathon, the LA Big 5K and the Los Angeles Marathon have the option for athletes who have already registered to choose to run the events virtually.

What is the deadline to complete my race virtually?

You can complete your race virtually until November 7, 2021

If I’m completing virtually, when will I receive my athlete package?

We will start shipping athlete packages starting October-November 2021

Will there be shuttle options in 2021?

We will be offering pre-race shuttles from Century City and Union Station to Dodger Stadium. For those staying in our official hotels in DTLA, shuttles will be offered pre-race to Dodger Stadium and post-race back to DTLA.

What is the deadline for corral placement?

Corral placement deadline is July 31st, 2021

When do you close registration?

There is no set registration cutoff date. Once we completely sell out of our set number of registrations for the event, registration will close.

When does the registration price increase?

Registration price increases every few weeks from the time our registration opens to the time registration closes leading up to the marathon.

I am unable to participate in the event, can I be refunded?

Per our no refund, transfer, or deferral policy, we are not able to refund registration fees.

I signed up for regular but would like to now run for a charity, is it possible to switch my registration?

Yes, but first please reach out to your desired charity from our list of charity partners letting them know you are wanting to change your registration to a charity registration and to see if they still have room available on their team and what their fundraising requirements are.

If I signed up for each event individually, am I still qualified for the Challenges?

Yes! As long as participants use the same email address to register for each event, they will be manually pooled into the Challenges they qualify for.

My finishing time/bib number is not posted, how can that be fixed?

Please email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org with your registered name, bib number, and request and it will be forwarded to our timing company for review.

Can I transfer my registration to a family member/friend?

No. Per our no refund, transfer, or deferral policy, we do not allow the transfer of race registrations from one participant to another.

I wasn’t able to register before the event sold out. Is there any way I can still register?

Unfortunately, no. Once registrations are completely sold-out we are not able to allow any additional participants to register.

I wasn’t able to get my shirt and/or medal after the event, how do I go about getting those?

Please email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org to speak with a customer service representative for details on how to obtain your missed item/items.

How do I switch to the virtual run?

Switching your registration from live run to virtual run is handled by our customer service team. Please email solutions@mccourtfoundation.org with your registered name, email address, and event that you would like to switch to virtual. A customer service representative will respond to you as soon as possible and a new confirmation email will be sent to confirm you are now participating in the virtual run.

Does the virtual run count towards any Challenges?

Yes. Virtual runs do count towards our event Challenges.

Are virtual runners eligible for awards?

Virtual runners are not eligible for awards.

When & Where will Expo take place?

Expo will take place on November 5-6, 2021 at Dodgers Stadium

What safety protools will be taken/implemented?

We will continue to evaluate the event in November to ensure the health & safety of our participants, volunteers and partners, the applicable health departments and other governmental agencies. Please check our website for more updates as we get closer to race weekend.

When is the 2022 Los Angeles Marathon?

The 2022 Los Angeles Marathon will take place March, 2022
