McCourt Foundation News
News from Foundation Director Denise Arrondo
February 2010.
With the McCourt Foundation celebrating its Fifth Anniversary, we have some exciting new announcements!
The Foundation is launching two new fundraising initiatives starting with our participation in the John Hancock Boston Marathon Non-Profit Program. The Foundation has been awarded Boston Marathon numbers for the 2010 Marathon. The McCourt Marathon Team is in place and has started training for one of life’s greatest experiences — Running the Boston Marathon. Good luck to our runners.
In October, 2010 the Foundation will launch the First Annual McCourt Foundation Ride for Alzheimer’s and Multiple Sclerosis. This 25-mile fundraising bike ride will start at the Wompatuck State Park and riders will travel through the scenic towns and coastlines of Hingham, Cohasset, Scituate and Norwell.
This year also marks the end of one long tradition, our 5K road race. We would like to thank all the runners who supported the McCourt Run for Alzheimer’s and MS that celebrated its final and 18th running last June in Harwich Port. We appreciate your support and we will see you at the McCout Ride in October.
The Foundation is proud to be partnered with the Center for Neurologic Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. Additionally, we are proud of the ever-growing Educational Updates we bring to people in need. By making a charitable gift to the McCourt Foundation, you are investing in the health and well being of individuals and their families who have been affected by Alzheimer’s and MS. We sincerely appreciate your support for our cause.
