As part of the platform, after you sign up for an event a fundraising page is automatically generated. Fundraising is NOT required to take part in any of the Waterfront events! If you chose to do some fundraising than that’s great and we have rewards offered to top fundraisers. But again to be clear, Fundraising is not required and the only fee is your registration.
The McCourt Foundation is excited to announce the 2nd Annual Waterfront 5K Fitness & Wellness Festival on Sunday, June 16, 2019 at the Flynn Cruise port Boston. Starting with a 5K race and walk along the scenic Black Falcon Pier, the family-friendly event will also include fitness classesclasses hosted by sportswear giant and event partner, Reebok.
The event will also feature a fun, family-friendly finish festival with live entertainment, a Harpoon Beer Garden (two free beer tickets for registered participants age 21+), tasty eats and plenty of fun family-friendly games.
Our community partnership program enables other health focused initiatives to participate by engaging their supporters and rallying support for their missions. In our inaugural year, we were happy to host more than 1,000 participants at this premier fitness event!

The McCourt Foundation raises valuable funds that supports critical Neurology research at Mass General & Brigham and Women’s Hospitals. Your participation in this event directly supports the Foundation’s fundraising initiatives. We offer the opportunity for individuals to fundraise ahead of race day.
We recognize these individuals who go above and beyond by fundraising for the Foundation or one of our event partners by providing the following prizes:
- The top 100 fundraisers will recieve a $100 Reebok gift card.
- The next 50 fundraisers will recieve a $50 Reebok gift card.
Recognition for top individual and top team fundraisers.
*The individual will receive only one of the above prizes, whichever is representative of the maximum fundraising requirement met.

Use of Public transportation is HIGHLY recommended, and easily accessible from the Silver Line:
- Take the Silver Line SL2 Drydock bus from South Station to the Northern Ave. @ Tide St stop. Black Falcon Ave. is a 3-minute walk from there.
Limited Parking available for a fee in nearby garages

Uber and Lyft drop-off and pick up locations will be available.
+ Packet Pick-Up
Packet and Bib pick up will take place at the Reebok retail store located at 25 Drydock Ave., Boston.
Your beer tickets and bag drop are attached to your bib – please do not lose them, as they cannot be replaced! Please note that parking is limited.

Race day - Pick up at the Black Flacon Terminal begins at 8am until event start
+ Race Day Bag Check:
If you bring a bag with you on race day, we will provide a bag drop area. You will receive a bag tag which will assign you to a specific bag drop location. Please note, we are not responsible for any items that are lost or stolen. Bags must be picked up by 1:30pm on race day!

The Fitness and Wellness Festival is our Waterfront 5K’s celebratory after party!
Located in Black Falcon Terminal with scenic water views along the dock, the expo will feature an exclusive Harpoon Beer tent, food selections from Boston's best restaurants and vendors, information booths from our partners, family-friendly activities and music.
The Festival will open at 8am and is free for all race participants. All race bibs will include two tickets for Harpoon beer or cider. Any additional beverages can be purchased for $5 each, CASH ONLY. PLEASE BRING YOUR ID ON RACE DAY IF YOU PLAN TO DRINK.
Race and fundraising awards and prizes will be presented at 11:30am. You must be present to claim your awards. Last call is at 1pm and the Expo will close at 1:30pm.
